Complete DMCA Takedown Process

1. Copyright Infringement Notification Requirements

To file a valid DMCA notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), your written communication must include:

1. Physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed (URL or specific description)
3. Identification of the material to be removed (exact APKScope page URL)
4. Contact information including address, telephone, and email
5. Statement of good faith belief that use of the material is unauthorized
6. Statement under penalty of perjury that information is accurate and you’re authorized to act

2. Submission Methods

Send notices to our designated Copyright Agent:

3. Our Response Protocol

Upon receiving a valid notice, we will:

• Acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
• Disable access to allegedly infringing material within 72 hours
• Notify the affected user of the takedown
• Document the action in our DMCA compliance records

Counter-Notification Procedures

If you believe material was wrongly removed, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3):

Required Elements

1. Your physical or electronic signature
2. Identification of removed material and its prior location
3. Statement under penalty of perjury of good faith belief of mistaken removal
4. Your name, address, phone number, and consent to local federal court jurisdiction

Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will:

• Forward it to the original complainant
• Restore the material within 10-14 business days unless copyright owner files legal action
• Notify both parties of the restoration

Repeat Infringer Policy

Consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(i), we maintain a strict policy:

• Users with 3 valid DMCA notices may have accounts terminated
• All infringement claims are logged in our case management system
• We reserve the right to disable access at our discretion

Appeal Process

Terminated users may appeal by:

1. Submitting a written request to apkscope@gmail.com
2. Providing evidence of changed practices
3. Waiting 30 days for review
